AboitizPower Breaks Ground On 48-MW Nasipit Hybrid Energy Storage Project

Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), through its subsidiary Therma Marine Inc. (TMI), has officially broken ground on its 48-megawatt Nasipit Hybrid Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Lawis, Sta. Ana, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte.

The project will be integrated with TMI’s existing oil-fired power facility, TMI Mobile 2, enhancing its flexibility and reliability.
Once completed, the hybrid system is expected to support grid stability and contribute to the energy transition by combining traditional power generation with cutting-edge battery storage technology.
