Dassai Blue, produced in New York by Asahi Shuzo Co., will be available in business class from March to May and in first class from June to August. This marks the first time Dassai Blue will be offered on commercial flights, though the original Japan-brewed Dassai has been featured on ANA flights before.
"We selected it based on its quality and strong reputation," an ANA representative said.
Dassai Blue is crafted in Hyde Park, New York, where Asahi Shuzo established a brewery in 2023. The premium sake is classified as Junmai Daiginjo, meaning it is made with rice polished down to at least 50% of its original size, with no added alcohol or additives.
