New York Democratic Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has reiterated her call for the impeachment of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas who admitted that he didn’t disclose more than 20 luxury trips subsidized by Republican far-right megadonor Harlan Crow, Andrew Millman reported for CNN.

In an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash on “State of the Union,” Ocasio-Cortez called for an inquiry into the matter, saying it was “the House’s responsibility to pursue that investigation in the form of impeachment.”
She added: “I believe that we should pursue the course. And if it is Republicans that decide to protect those who are breaking the law, then they are the ones who then are responsible for that decision.”
She added the House GOP majority would unlikely pursue such an investigation. “But we should not be complicit in that.”

The aforementioned included trips on the donor’s yacht to Asia and other countries and private Bombardier 500 business jet, the payment of a statue of nun, Thomas’ teacher, built at his alma mater, annual vacations at the Adirondacks resort of Crow, and visits to an all-male resort in California.
There is a US law that compels any US politician, bureaucrat, and justice to report any gift worth $450. Yet, the Wall Street Journal has defended Tomas without citing any moral, ethical, or constitutional basis to back up its editorial.
