Axelum Resources Corp., the country’s leading fully integrated manufacturer and exporter of premium coconut products has won a Silver in the Asia’s Best Sustainability Report (First-Time) Category, at the 6th Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA), the most prestigious international awards for corporate reporting.
“We are deeply humbled that our maiden publication was recognized by a distinguished and highly-respected international organization. This serves as culmination of over three decades of commitment to sustainability since our founding in 1986. Moving forward, we draw inspiration from this acclaim as we continue to advance our sustainability development program to enrich more lives,” stated Henry J. Raperoga, President and Chief Operating Officer of Axelum Resources Corp.
The winners were revealed in an exclusive online event hosted virtually in Singapore due to the ongoing pandemic. An independent panel of judges reviewed 494 entries, received from 17 countries across 19 award categories.
Live broadcast of the virtual awards ceremony was attended by more than 250 senior business leaders and sustainability practitioners from 20 countries. Attendees also included dignitaries from academia, embassies, trade associations and advocacy organizations. ASRA follows a rigorous multi-tier evaluation process. An independent judging panel determines finalists and winners.
Evaluation involves three rounds of assessment to select the top performers in each award category. Aside from report quality, comprehensive due diligence considers companies' reputation among their stakeholders as part of the judging criteria.
