Bed Bath & Beyond Set To Return After Partnership With The Container Store

If you’ve been hoping for the return of Bed Bath & Beyond, you’re in luck. After filing for bankruptcy and closing its stores in 2023, the department store brand transitioned to selling products online following Overstock’s acquisition of its intellectual property, Ahjané Forbes reported for USA Today.

In June 2023, Overstock completed the acquisition, which included the Bed Bath & Beyond brand, customer database, and website domain, among other assets. The brand will now make a comeback in physical stores through a strategic partnership with The Container Store.

Recently, The Container Store announced that it will begin selling Bed Bath & Beyond items in its specialty retail chain locations.

“We are excited about the opportunities this partnership unfolds for us,” Satish Malhotra, CEO of The Container Store, said in a statement.

“Bed Bath & Beyond’s enthusiasm for this collaboration is reflected in their planned investment in The Container Store, which will strengthen our financial position, allow us to continue executing our growth strategy, and deliver a best-in-class experience for our customers.”
