China has raised tariffs on US goods from 84% to 125%, The Associated Press (AP) reported.

China’s Commerce Ministry also announced that it is filing another lawsuit with the World Trade Organization over the latest round of US tariffs.
The US and China have escalated their trade war by imposing higher tariffs, even as US President Donald Trump temporarily paused tariffs for other countries. Trump's universal tariffs on Chinese imports now total 145%.
When he announced that China would face 125% tariffs, he did not include a separate 20% tariff related to China's role in fentanyl production.
“The US alternately raising abnormally high tariffs on China has become a numbers game with no practical economic significance and will become a joke in the history of the world economy,” a Commerce Ministry spokesman said in a statement announcing the countermeasure.
“However, if the US insists on continuing to substantially infringe on China’s interests, China will resolutely counter and fight to the end.”
