CHINA’S SECRET COVID-19 CURE CAME FROM CUBA

There was nothing spectacular about the rapid decline in the number of COVID-19 infections in China since it was able to mass produce a drug that had been helping patients battle intractable diseases like dengue fever since 1980.

In a report carried by the Latin-America-based teleSUR, the wonder drug developed by Cuban doctors, Interferon a-2b or IFNrec, had been produced in China since January 25, 2020 and used extensively to treat patients in Wuhan City in Hubei province. It has also been used in Italy and other countries.  

"The world has an opportunity to understand that health is not a commercial asset but a basic right," Cuban doctor Luis Herrera, the creator of the Interferon Alfa 2-B medication, one of the most successful medications in the fight against COVID-19, told teleSUR.

One of the ways the virus can multiply inside the cells is by decreasing the levels of Interferon naturally produced in human cells but Interferon a2b, through a different metabolic way, can create conditions to limit the replication of the virus, eventually choking and expelling it from the system of the patient. #coronavirusimpact #COVID19
