The trade missions will include high-ranking government officials and business delegations from the Czech Republic. The focus will be on defense and security issues related to regional geopolitics and cooperation in agriculture.
The Czech Republic is known for its expertise in defense and security industries, manufacturing war instruments, arms, ammunition, fighter jets, and other equipment. President Marcos emphasized the importance of agriculture and defense as key areas for his administration.
Last year, the Czech Republic ranked as the Philippines' 39th trading partner, 28th export market, and 47th import supplier, with total bilateral trade amounting to US$303.21 million.
There are approximately 4,864 Filipinos in the Czech Republic, primarily engaged in various industries. Czech Republic Prime Minister Petr Fiala visited the Philippines in April this year as part of an official visit.
