Despite the suspension order, many are praising Chiong for his contributions to the development of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

During his time as General Manager, Chiong implemented several improvements that have transformed NAIA into a world-class airport. One of his most significant achievements was the removal of X-ray machines and private security checkpoints at airport entry points, a move that was based on best practices in airport security.

This change has greatly improved the passenger experience, making travel through NAIA faster and more efficient.

Chiong also oversaw the expansion and modernization of NAIA's facilities, including the construction of a new terminal building and runway. These projects have increased the airport's capacity and improved its overall operations, making it a more attractive destination for airlines and passengers alike.

Despite these accomplishments, Chiong's suspension has cast a shadow over his legacy. Many are calling for a thorough investigation into the sinister motives behind the allegations thrown against him, while others are worried that his absence will negatively impact the ongoing development of NAIA.

In a statement released by his office, Chiong expressed his disappointment at the suspension order but maintained his innocence. "I have always acted in the best interests of the airport and the Filipino people," he said.

"I am confident that the truth will come out, and I will be vindicated."

Meanwhile, the MIAA has appointed an acting General Manager to oversee the airport's day-to-day operations while the suspension order is in effect.

The agency has assured the public that it remains committed to providing safe and efficient air travel services and that the ongoing development of NAIA will continue despite the challenges posed by Chiong's suspension.
