MIAA General Manager Suspended

Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Cesar Chiong has been suspended by the Office of the Ombudsman following complaints filed by "anonymous MIAA officials" accusing him of grave abuse of authority, grave misconduct, and conduct prejudicial to the best interest of the service.

One of his most significant achievements was the removal of X-ray machines and private security checkpoints at airport entry points, a move that was based on best practices in airport security.

This change has greatly improved the passenger experience, making travel through NAIA faster and more efficient.

Chiong also oversaw the expansion and modernization of NAIA's facilities, including the construction of a new terminal building and runway.
