Microsoft Appoints Peter Maquera CEO Of PH Operations

Microsoft has announced the appointment of Peter Maquera as the new CEO of its operations in the Philippines.

He will be responsible for accelerating the cloud and digital transformation journey of every business in the country, helping the community build resilience through digital skills and empowering digital-first companies and start-ups with the tools to scale their innovation.

Peter brings to the company extensive experience in building and transforming companies, from early-stage development to market leadership across various industries including business process outsourcing, IT, real estate, and finance.

Prior to this appointment, he was Senior Vice President at Globe, where he managed their enterprise business. Before that, Peter was Deputy CEO and Director of LiveIt Investments, Ayala Corporation’s holding company, for its investments in Business Process Outsourcing.

Peter is currently a Board of Trustee with the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines (IBPAP), Board Advisor to the Semiconductor and Electronics Industries in the Philippines, Inc. (SEIPI), and Alternate Director of Bridge Alliance. He has an undergraduate degree in Engineering and a Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
