A coalition of media outlets, including CNN, The New York Times, and The Washington Post, had petitioned for the case to be unsealed, but the judge upheld the family's request for privacy.

The case concerns the succession of Murdoch’s businesses and has been sealed under Nevada’s privacy laws for family trust decisions. The case is listed as “The Matter of the Doe 1 Trust, PR23-00813.”
