Nvidia has announced it will invest up to $500 billion in AI infrastructure projects in the U.S. over the next four years, as the tech industry pushes to strengthen domestic manufacturing, Laura Bratton reported for Yahoo Finance.

As part of this massive commitment, Nvidia will build two new supercomputer manufacturing plants in Texas in partnership with contract manufacturers Foxconn and Wistron.
These facilities are expected to begin mass production within 12 to 15 months.
The company also confirmed that its latest Blackwell AI chips are already in production at TSMC’s plant in Phoenix.
This announcement comes amid broader efforts by tech giants to onshore manufacturing in response to Trump’s tariff policies, which are reshaping global supply chains.
Since Trump took office, Apple has pledged $500 billion in U.S. investments over four years.
Chip manufacturer TSMC has committed $100 billion, Microsoft plans to spend $80 billion in 2025 (half of which will go to U.S. operations), and Meta has allocated up to $65 billion—some of it earmarked for a new data center in Louisiana, roughly the size of Manhattan.
