PEZA Deputy Director General for Operations Vivian S. Santos joined Cabuyao City Mayor Dennis Hain, Ohgitani Philippines Inc. Managing Director Yoshitaka Kataoka, Ohgitani Corporation President Michichiro Ogitani, LISP I Administrator Mark Calauag, LISP I Acting Zone Manager Arch. Mariano Magistrado III, and other officials during the ribbon-cutting and inauguration ceremony held last week.

Santos highlighted the significance of Ohgitani’s expansion in enhancing efficient and competitive operations within the ecozones. She also reaffirmed PEZA’s commitment to supporting the company’s ongoing operations and future initiatives.

“This new warehouse will further strengthen Ohgitani’s capability to meet the evolving demands of industries, especially in Laguna—one of the country’s premier industrial hubs,” she said.

She added that the development aligns with PEZA’s vision of promoting eco-zoning for inclusive and sustainable growth, in strong collaboration with its locators, industry partners, and government agencies.

A key highlight of the event was the Signing of Documents for the official turnover of the warehouse between Ohgitani Corporation President Michichiro Ogitani and CCT Construction Corporation President Kaname Futaki.

Ogitani remarked that this milestone will significantly improve the company’s warehouse management, distribution network, and production systems in delivering high-value and tailored industrial products.

Founded in 1946 in Osaka, Japan, Ohgitani Corporation engages in the domestic sale, import, and export of non-ferrous metals such as zinc, lead, and copper, as well as machinery, chemicals, electronic components, and metal scrap.

The company also provides metal recycling services. Ohgitani maintains a strong presence across Asia with operations in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Vietnam, and the Philippines.
