The strategic collaboration was formalized through the signing of the AUB PayMate Reseller Agreement, marking a milestone in modernizing payment systems at the country’s first-ever landport.
This partnership will enable merchants at PITX to seamlessly accept digital payments through AUB PayMate, an all-in-one payment platform that supports various methods such as e-wallets, QR payments, and online banking transfers.
This innovation is set to reduce the reliance on cash transactions, enhance efficiency, and minimize queues, providing commuters with a faster and more convenient dining experience.
The signing ceremony was attended by key representatives from both PITX and AUB, including AUB President Manuel Gomez and PITX Chief Operations Officer Mohit Malhi.
Commenting on the partnership, Jason Salvador, Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Director of PITX, said, “By integrating AUB PayMate for food and beverage merchants at PITX, MWM Terminals Inc. and AUB are setting a new standard for convenience and innovation in the public transportation sector.”
AUB PayMate offers merchants flexibility, allowing them to accept payments in-store, online, or via app. It also facilitates transactions with foreign customers through services like Alipay, WeChat Pay, and UnionPay QR, along with real-time currency conversion.
This collaboration reflects the shared vision of both PITX and AUB to leverage technology to improve customer service and operational efficiency, driving the future of digital payments in the public transport industry.
