Sam Altman’s Family Denies Sister’s Sexual Assault Claims As "Untrue"

The Saint Louis Post-Dispatch reported that Annie Altman filed a new lawsuit on Monday accusing her brother of sexually assaulting her over a nine-year period during the 1990s and 2000s.

The lawsuit reiterates claims Annie first made on social media in 2021.

In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Sam Altman included a response from his family members—his brothers, Max and Jack, and their mother, Connie. The statement strongly denies Annie's allegations, calling them false.

The family expressed concern for Annie’s mental health, noting that they have supported her emotionally and financially for years.

The statement read: "Despite this, Annie continues to demand more money from us. In this vein, Annie has made deeply hurtful and entirely untrue claims about our family, and especially Sam. We've chosen not to respond publicly, out of respect for her privacy and our own. However, she has now taken legal action against Sam, and we feel we have no choice but to address this."
