Santa Claus made an early visit to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to preside over 14 weddings during the city’s annual pre-Christmas Wedding Wednesday, Ben Hooper reported for United Press International (UPI).
The event marked the second annual Wedding Wednesday, organized by the city and officiated by the jolly old St. Nick himself.
“Time does get a little tight this time of the year, but luckily, with a lot of help from Mrs. Claus and the good helper elves, we’re able to make things happen,” Santa told KOKI-TV.
The event marked the second annual Wedding Wednesday, organized by the city and officiated by the jolly old St. Nick himself. After the ceremonies, the newlywed couples were treated to rides in horse-drawn carriages, adding a magical touch to the festive occasion.
Erin Hofener, marketing and communications coordinator for the City of Broken Arrow’s Tourism and Economic Office, said the available wedding slots were in high demand.
"This year, we filled up very quickly, so maybe next year, we’ll have more slots available," Hofener said.
