SB Finance Shines Light on Solar Power Adoption

Updated: Aug 21

SB Finance, an affiliate of Security Bank, has announced a new financing option for residential solar panel installations.

Financing that Empowers: SB Finance leads the launch of the new financing program for residential solar panel installations, in partnership with Advanced Energy Technologies, Solviva Energy, and SeekCap. The initiative aims to make sustainable energy solutions more accessible to Filipino homeowners.

This initiative is poised to accelerate the adoption of solar energy across the Philippines, a market where high upfront costs and the absence of government incentives have historically shadowed widespread uptake.

This move is part of SB Finance's broader commitment to promoting eco-friendly solutions.

Through partnerships with industry leaders Advanced Energy Technologies (AET) Renewables Plus Co., Solviva Energy—a subsidiary of AboitizPower—and SeekCap, the Philippines' leading online financial services marketplace, SB Finance is making solar energy more accessible than ever.

“SB Finance is proud to lead the charge in financing sustainable living by offering accessible loans for rooftop solar panels,” said SB Finance President and CEO Abbie Dans-Casanova.

“By making solar energy investments more accessible, we empower our customers to make eco-friendly choices that positively impact their finances, as well as the environment. This financing initiative highlights our commitment to supporting renewable energy and creating a more sustainable future.”

Partnerships Powering the Future

The partnerships with AET and Solviva Energy are central to this new offering. AET, with decades of experience in the renewable energy sector and a track record of reducing millions of tons of CO2 emissions through various projects across Southeast Asia, brings its technical expertise to the table.

The company designs power, energy, and water systems that leverage the latest advancements, offering significant environmental and financial benefits.

Solviva Energy, known for its competitive pricing, swift installation, and comprehensive warranty packages, ensures that customers receive the highest quality solar equipment. With the promise of installation within 30 days and a 10-25-year warranty on equipment and system performance, homeowners can transition to solar energy with confidence.

“Partnering with SB Finance aligns perfectly with our mission to expand access to renewable energy,” said West Stewart, Chief Operating Officer of AET.

“Through this, we’re able to provide affordable financing options, making it easier for homeowners to invest in solar power, reduce their electricity costs, and contribute to environmental sustainability.”

Under SB Finance’s Personal Loan product, customers can avail of loans up to PHP 2 million, repayable over 36 months, to finance their solar panel installations. The loans are non-collateralized, making them more accessible to a broader range of customers.

This offering is exclusive to both Solviva and AET solar power systems, further simplifying the process for homeowners looking to go green.

SeekCap, the online loan marketplace by UBX Philippines Corporation, plays a crucial role by providing a secure and streamlined application process for these loans.

With competitive interest rates, flexible payment terms, and minimal documentation requirements, SeekCap ensures that financing is both affordable and accessible to Filipinos nationwide.

A Step Towards a Sustainable Future

As the world moves toward renewable energy, SB Finance's new offering is a timely and necessary development in the Philippine market.

By removing financial barriers and providing access to top-tier solar technology, SB Finance, along with its partners, is enabling more homeowners to take the leap toward a sustainable future.

This initiative not only supports the global push for renewable energy but also offers Filipino homeowners the opportunity to reduce their electricity bills and make a positive impact on the environment.
