News of these discussions, initially reported by Sky News, comes only a year after Frasers Group acquired the Missguided brand.
Frasers Group purchased Missguided for £20 million last year following the online fashion retailer's collapse into administration. Shein, founded in China in 2008, has established itself as a global leader in the fast fashion industry.
As per Sky's report, the anticipated deal would likely involve Shein acquiring the Missguided brand and other intellectual property, while the corporate headquarters would remain under the ownership of Frasers.
Missguided, headquartered in Manchester, was founded by Nitin Passi in 2009 and rose to prominence as one of the UK's largest online fashion players.
However, it encountered challenges related to supply chain issues, rising freight costs, and heightened competition from rivals, leading to its administration in May 2022 before being acquired by Frasers Group.
