Expanding international sales of the C-390 has been a top priority for Embraer's defense division. Sweden joins five other European countries — Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, the Netherlands, and Portugal — in choosing the C-390.
"This decision represents a new chapter in Brazil-Sweden relations," Embraer stated, noting that Brazil had previously purchased Gripen fighter jets from Sweden's SAAB.
