EZconn, a leading provider of electronic products, optical fiber components, and precision metal components, is investing PHP70 million in the new facility, according to PEZA.

PEZA Director General Tereso Panga highlighted the significance of the deal, saying, “EZconn’s registration underscores the Philippines’ growing appeal to foreign investors, particularly in the rapidly expanding telecommunications and fiber optics sectors.”

He added, “This investment aligns with PEZA’s mission to enhance the competitiveness of the country’s ecozones while promoting inclusive and sustainable development.”

The facility is expected to begin commercial operations in the first quarter of 2025.

PEZA also noted that EZconn’s production output from this facility will primarily be for export to the U.S., European, and Indonesian markets, with projected annual export revenue amounting to USD3.14 million.

In addition, the project is anticipated to create over 50 direct jobs.

PEZA approved four Taiwanese investment projects between January and September this year, including EZconn’s. The combined total of these investments amounts to PHP634.15 million, according to the agency.
