U.S. Probes Tech Firms SAP, Carahsoft Over Potential Price-Fixing

The U.S. is investigating several companies, including German software developer SAP SE and Carahsoft Technology, for allegedly conspiring to overcharge government agencies for more than a decade, Bloomberg News reported.

U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) lawyers have been investigating since at least 2022 whether SAP illegally conspired with IT solutions provider Carahsoft to fix prices on sales to the U.S. military and other government entities, according to federal court records

filed in Baltimore.

Earlier in the day, Bloomberg reported that U.S. federal agents searched the Washington-area offices of Carahsoft.

A representative for Carahsoft informed Bloomberg that the investigation pertained to a company with which Carahsoft had previously conducted business.
