Earlier, the Pentagon stated that weapons provided by the US were not used in the attack.

Russian forces may still be able to use the Saki air base as the runway has not been damaged, Ukraine’s Air Force spokesperson Yuri Ignat said in a televised address, Ukrainska Pravda also reported.

The US Institute for the Study of War (ISW) also confirmed that Ukrainian forces destroyed the last bridge near Kakhova Hydroelectric Power Plant in Kherson Oblast that Russian forces use to move military equipment.

Ukrainian forces also struck Russian ammunition depots and logistics points in Kherson Oblast. The ISW suggested Ukrainian partisans are targeting Russian proxies and pro-Russian collaborators to sabotage the upcoming sham referenda in temporarily occupied regions.

Ukraine has asked the US to impose sanctions against all Russian banks. According to Oksana Markarova, Ukraine's ambassador to the US, Kyiv wants the US to add several banks a week to its list of sanctioned financial institutions. Bloomberg reported that her request was forwarded to the US Treasury Department.

"Sanctions are as important as weapons," said Markarova.
