The deal marks a significant step in both companies’ efforts to promote energy efficiency and sustainable practices in the Philippines.
At the ceremonial signing, PCPPI President and Chief Executive Officer Phyo Phyu Noe emphasized the partnership’s role in future-proofing their operations.
“This strategic engagement with Vantage Energy is part of PCPPI’s transformation. We are committed to ensuring energy efficiency across our locations, as this brings value to our overall operations and to the communities we serve,” Noe stated.
As the exclusive manufacturer of PepsiCo beverages in the Philippines, PCPPI has long been a leader in the food and beverage industry.
This partnership with Vantage Energy aligns with their vision of incorporating greener energy solutions to power their facilities, a move that supports their goal of reducing their carbon footprint.
Vantage Energy President Ernesto M. Cabral echoed the sentiment of collaboration, underscoring that the contract extends beyond the commercial framework.
"Together with PCPPI, we are committed to driving innovation and advancing sustainable practices that enrich the communities we serve," said Cabral.
As a wholly owned retail electricity supplier of Meralco, Vantage Energy has been providing customized energy solutions since 2017 to clients nationwide, and this new partnership further cements its reputation for delivering reliable, sustainable power.
This collaboration comes at an exciting time for PCPPI, as management control was recently acquired by Lotte Chilsung Beverage, a South Korean company.
The acquisition solidifies PCPPI’s position as a key player in the Philippine beverage market and opens doors for future expansions into Southeast Asia.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage sees PCPPI as an essential step in their regional growth strategy, especially with the potential to locally manufacture and distribute its proprietary brands in the Philippines.
